k200d battery recomandations
If not used, Sanyo's Eneloop batteries are claimed to retain about 80% of their charge after 12 months. They are supplied pre-charged too.
They are also slightly smaller than most NiMh batteries and don't put such a strain on battery door catches.
im thinking of buying these there suppose to be the same as the sanyos
2000 mah.
Always ready to use, immediately after purchase (like an alkaline battery).
Keeps it's charge, even after 1 year.
Using 1 Cycle Energy Blue Battery is the equivalent of using 1000 disposable batteries.
Performs in all compatible appliances. Suitable for remote controls to power hungry digital cameras. Taking the rechargeable battery into the home.
Sony Cycle Energy Blue batteries can be charged in any Sony charger.

Yes I did, same colour etc here, sold mostly on Sunday markets..
Spelling was wrong long day.
I have 2 sets and once the are depleted, my spare set goes in the flashgun and I recharge the other ones and they go as spare in my bag again.
The battries are still very charged after 4 or more weeks when they go into the flash again and I haven't really notice any difference compared to freashly charged ones.
These are the ones I use Varta Professional they are 2700 mAh,
Enloop doesn't come further then 2000 mAh I believe so Varta will keep your K200D powered a fair bit longer.
The Eneloop batteries are Nickel Metal Hydride batteries and will charge up in any charger. BUT you must be aware of whether the charger is a timed charger, one that charges for a set amount of time and then switches off, or an 'intelligent' charger.
Most of the older chargers are timed chargers that were sold with specific capacity batteries and so will charge the batteries they were sold with to perfection. Lower capacity or higher capacity batteries in those chargers would either get cooked or not receive enough charge.
An 'intelligent' or smart charger will monitor the batteries being charged and switch to trickle mode when the batteries show a tiny dip in the monitored voltage output, usually when they are about 95% charged.
This is the ideal charger for the Eneloops, making sure they are not overcharged/undercharged.
Look to see if the charger you have is microprocessor controlled as this means it will be an 'intelligent' charger, able to assess the capacity of the batteries inserted and also show whether they are faulty cells.
Hope this helps and makes sense. (Peter, just adding to your advice!)
Coriander.

I have 2 sets of GP 2700 Nimh rechargeables, but i'm not happy at all. After 3-4 days of not using the camera they don't work enymore. It seems that this camera is very picky with it's power suplies.
What are you reccomanding?
