Ah yes. the Nikon price may be the same, but does it have a K-mount that lets you use all that wonderful Pentax glass?

adaptors don't count, they degrade the quality on other brands.

Can't help with selling you a lens, but I recently got a Sigma 18-200 and it's spot on for walkarounds.

The down side is the price, I bought used and got a bargain.

Of course we are, we're not brand snobs. Well . . . not really . . . as long as it's Pentax.

PS: Did your colleague buy from Jessops by any chance?
Yes it was Jessops. How did you know? Or am I missing something!
Jessops need to change name to Canikony, they can't stock Pentax as they're not trusted!

Tell your friend to look at SRS for the best kit.

I notice that SRS are only taking deposits at the moment, does this mean that Park cameras and the likes are advertising goods they can't supply?:

Well then it must be me who doesn't get it, because I am utterly unable to fathom why an external mic mounted immediately above the lens should fail to pick up the focusing motor noise.
External mics are usually directional, that is they record in a forward cone, so less chance of camera focus noise as it will be below the cone.

I think
