tempted, but no...... I will keep my 8000 click K20D thanks
8000, that must be worth about £50 then!

I'll buy it at that and take a risk...

....if your selling.

Seriously, the K20d will retain it's value, look at what K100 and *istD model's are worth to see how Pentax kit retains value

Well put, let's be positive.

I' looking forward to WR lenses, maybe a decent 500mm to rival the competition and more new bodies.

Bring it on, long live Pentax.

When Pentax and jessops split, more independent camera shops suddenly had stock and access to Pentax kit.

Were jessops tying up the supply?

Now if I want kit I have a better choice of local(ish) shops staffed by people who know what their stock does.

When jessops go bust what will the other brands do? Canon try and stop stores stocking rivals products, lets see how they fair when shops can't afford the massive capital outlay and, instead, continue selling rivals kit.

I was told this morning that the street price for body and lens is going to be £1199.99. That's from a dealer who is considering dropping Pentax stock because of the price rises at the end of this month.

As a side he said that Olympus, panasonic and Samsung prices were staying mostly untouched!

Oly E520 any one?

OK, to sum up all the results, top camera at the moment is the K20d, a very popular and soon to be discontinued body.

In second place, the already discontinued K10d, a good design still going strong.

Third goes to the K200d, a discontinued cut down easier to use version of number 2!

Thanks and keep voting!

Pentex comes up from time to time, I think it's a clever writing instrument!

Back on topic, when Pentax revamped their site earlier this year some pages appeared in German.

I posted about it then.

Guess what? They're still there, in German.

It seem s Pentax UK are in a bit of a pickle, they seem to be concentrating on, well what?

Servicing's getting a slating, website is not up to U.S., Canadian et al standards, let's hope supply is OK unless we could loose our confidence completely.

We need confidence in Pentax U.K. so how can we get this across to them? :::

I know what you mean John, my K110d and K200d look the same. There is a size difference though. An *istD I recently looked at felt the same as both my bodies, the lineage was evident.

The K10d and K20d look and feel the same to me when I've handled them, I don,t recall seeing them side by side for a direct comparison.

The K-7 is a new shape though so, presumably, has a new chassis as well as overcoat, so to speak. I'll reserve full and proper judgement until I've handled one.

The new sensor, by the way, is much faster. According to this anyway
