Ha!

That'll teach you to buy from the Evil C!

Seriously now, cute little camera, good results and it fits in your pocket, unlike the JVC one we have.

I can feel an upgrade comming on...

Don't worry James, we all have had a beef about Paypal charges at some time or other, usually when they go up!

But we still use it because it's easy when buying/selling on Ebay.

If I recall correctly, doesn't the Optio %%) record video in Quicktime format?

If so, try Quicktime to confirm this, use a converter to swap formats.

The rule of thumb is the reciprocal of the lens length, i.e. 1/60 is the nearest for a 50mm lens, 1/200 for a 200mm lens and so on.

Cheers, Kris.
That's the slowest shutter speed.

I usually try and keep to 1/125 and above when using film. That way any shake is eliminated (in theory at least)

Hope you mean the D3000
Whatever.

I don't think the K-x can really be described as entry level anyway, the specifications are definately a notch above.
I agree with that, but as long as the press 'need' a bracket to put cameras in that's what it'll be called.

If Pentax could produce a version which was lighter on features and £100 cheaper the K-x would be called an amateur's camera.

As it is.

Compare the K-x projected price with the equivalent competition.

Then compare specs.

Then consider who these cameras are aimed at.

I feel that in comparison with the competition the K-x stands up well, and will have a much better build quality.

I just hope the target users can actually get hold of them!

Welcome, if you need a manual you can down load from here.

That should tell you which lenses and flash unit s are compatible.

I just hope Pentax havent shot themselves in the foot here. Releasing a "budget" model with better ISO performance than their flagship body isn't going to exactly help sales.
On the other hand if Pentax sell 3 to 1 ratio the balance books will start to look very healthy.

That could lead to more bodies and a full starter/ intermediate/ professional range.
