I have just bought one from amazon for £42, it has the metal pins etc and works really well, it does feel a little cheap on the buttons but for the price i cant complain, spending 225 after just shelling out for the camera would of hurt, but £42 is easier to swallow

i will never use a blower again.....first time i used one it blew dust up into the pentaprism, although it was no longer on the sensor it was badly visible every time i looked through the viewfinder.
lucky enough i managed to blag currys and they gave me a new one
Since then though had it set to dust clean on start up and have not had a problem since

will have to i think, i have a wedding in march and cant afford to risk not having it for that, especially when its my own wedding and a photographer friend is useing my equipment as his is still in storage in the caymon

been reading a lot about the sensor mark issues, i have ordered my k-5 and picking it up on tuesday but i'm getting worried about the sensor issue.
I have seen a lot about it on here but nothing indicating to me wether any that have been very recently bought, ie the last week or so have the same issue. is the one i am getting likely to have the problem or was it literally just one batch at the initial launch?

i have the giottos mtl9351b tripod and mh5011 head, i find it a great tripod, and a bargain at around £111 (thats in bristol cameras)

This really is a great supportive community, a friend of mine is a sony user and he tried to find one aswell after i told him about this site, likewise he found nothing.
Good to see another convert, i was in the shop paying a deposit on my k-5 and the guy who served me said he has just sold his canon kit and bought the k-5 himself, things are looking up
