Question about K-5

been reading a lot about the sensor mark issues, i have ordered my k-5 and picking it up on tuesday but i'm getting worried about the sensor issue.

I have seen a lot about it on here but nothing indicating to me wether any that have been very recently bought, ie the last week or so have the same issue. is the one i am getting likely to have the problem or was it literally just one batch at the initial launch?

It was just the initial batch(es). All new ones are checked. You can always ask to do a check in the shop when you pick it up if it will set your mind a rest.

will have to i think, i have a wedding in march and cant afford to risk not having it for that, especially when its my own wedding and a photographer friend is useing my equipment as his is still in storage in the caymon

All new ones are fine. I ordered my K-5 on 3rd January and it arrived on 14th January. Stain free!!

I was only two days behind you and don't get it till Tuesday, fingers crossed it will be ok.

It's the front focussing in low light {EV4 and below) that's the current main problem. I love my K-5 and do not regret buying when I did but I sure want to get this issue sorted.

My nw one seems fine .. as you an imagine, it has been under a magnifying glass.
