Elastic bands around the filter, also putting the lens in the freezer for a bit is supposed to free it up

And as they said....it came today, fair play.

Manufacture date is march 2011 too and up to date firmare so all i have to do is change my settings and calibrate the lenses.

Had a phone call at 10am yesterday morning to say my sensor stained k-5 will be picked up later, by half one they had picked it up. Recieved a phone call today to say it had been recieved, fault verified and a new one despatched for delivery tomorrow.

3 day turnaround thats damn good service. Nice one pentax and thanks.

erm erm....the date was set wrong on the camera!!! ok my bad guess i should of read the rules (my first fortnightly comp entry) i have read them now wont happen again

Clifton cameras just called me back, camera should be picked up today and there hoping for a 3 to 4 day turnaround which is good. I asked about peoples previous problems with regards getting 2010 manuf replacements and he said as far as he is aware its going to be replaced with new stock so should be ok....I will be checking the date as soon as I get it

My biggest gripe is the way its dealt with really. I walked into a shop handed over just over a grand for a camera which is now faulty! I should be able to go back into the shop get the fault verified and handed over a replacement. If it was a tv or something from currys that is what would happen.

Whats the point?

Right click the image go to properties then to details and you can delete the copyright and the auther, whats the point in it being there?
