milamber, no, I hadn't even given it a thought. I didn't know it worked that way. Many thanks.
geordie01, Instructions noted and written down. Just as the clouds came over and the rain started. Yipee! Thank you, gentlemen.

I would like to 'do startrails'.However, after reading the K-r manual[p.147 and p.113] I find that confusion reigns. The 'bulb' method seemed the easiest way but the last instruction, #3 on p.113 states that the shutter will remain open as long as the release button is kept pressed.

I have the O-RC1 remote release. Instructions are minimal and there does not appear to be any way to keep the shutter open for the thirty minutes or so that I have read, is required to take said photographs.

Is there anyone out there that has the knowledge, I'm sure that there is, that I require? Please remember that I do not understand all the 'jargon' that is in the manual or on the internet. None of it takes into account that some people may not be conversant with such language. I need simple step by step instructions, if it is possible, please.

Pentax K-r dslr. Lenses are 18-55mm and 50-200mm. Having used only a fixed lense previously, I am now wondering whether there is a general rule of thumb for the use of the two lenses. When is it best to use the 18-55mm and when to use the 50-200mm lense? Kind regards.

It is a play on words. The correct phrase is. 'I resent that remark.' Used to object to something someone has said about you.

However, especially where I live it has been altered to make a joke out of ones embarrassment. Hence, 'I resemble that remark.'

Please, someone put me out of my torment. What do all of the above initials stand for? If this has been asked a million times before, slap my legs and call me Baldrick!

As a buyer of the K-r only last week, I emailed Pentax voicing my concerns about the K-r being discontinued. I received this reply only today.
The K-r is still in production. Even if it were not customers are still covered by Pentax support and warranty.
I hope that this may alleviate the concerns of new buyers of the rather good K-r, like myself.

Thanks chaps, I was wondering if it were possible to permanently weather seal the K-r. Just a thought. Not to worry. I'll chase up your suggestions.

The topic title is self explanatory. Has anyone a definitive and correct answer, please.
