Just want to say thanks for the tips. I've just got a Sigma 170-500 apo lens from Pentaxanne and I will take onboard all of the advice when shooting with it as well....

With my K20D I had the grip on since I purchased it. It made the camera much more stable.
However with the K7 I got the grip but prefer the camera without it on...

Well thank you Daniel for spotting it. I picked one up today and its an awesome price for the kit. Very impressed. (The grip went through as £50 on the reciept!!!)
The chap in Cameraworld said that they picked up a large load of them at a show in February at a good price and are passing it onto the customers whilst stock lasts.
Now I'm just waiting for the battery to charge.... a watched battery charging takes soooooooo long...

Another thumbs up for Cameraworld from me - they're very helpful and reasonably priced too.

I've been there few times and nearly every time I ended up walking out of the store angry... seriously those guys just try to rob the hell out of people (IMO). They used to have slogan: we won't be beaten on price. Well, just mention them prices from srs in watford and they'll send you to buy there...
Ha so it's not just me then. I found them very abrasive when I went to buy a grip from them. Said I'd seen a price at SRS and the chap became very angry and basically told me to go to them then....I've been there few times and nearly every time I ended up walking out of the store angry... seriously those guys just try to rob the hell out of people (IMO).
