As I said earlier I have exactly the same issues. If the subject is say around a metre away it focuses fine, but closer than that and bang FF.

I get it on my FA50/1.4 and also on my Tamron 90mm f2.8 lens. Trying to shoot some close objects the other evening and the K5 just wouldn't autofocus properly...

I tend to agree that it seems to be more close object/low-light rather than tungsten light.....

Andy I started a photo a day last May and managed to keep it going for around just under 200 days. I posted my photos on flickr and another photography forum I frequent. It is hard going at times, especially when the weather is poor but I felt that it improved my photography and opened my mind to different photographic shots.

If you want to take a look please feel free.

I've set myself an easier target this year. At least one photo a week to my flickr.

If you post on flickr put a shortcut to your set in your signature, I'll pop over and comment

What are you shooting Jpeg, Raw or Raw+? If it is only Raw then I think the camera saves a low size jpeg for review on the back of the camera, hence the 'jaggies'. If you shoot Raw+ you will zoom into the full size jpeg....
