The 60D isn't as good all round as the K5, and build quality and ergonomics aren't a patch on it, those are facts (well with a degree of subjectivity thrown in).
However you are not buying just a camera but into a system. Decide what lenses you want now and are likely to want in the future, if cost is an issue see what that's going to run you, read owners' comments in those lenses and any comparisons if you can find them (Google is always good in that respect e.g. Brand X lens vs Brand Y lens), maybe ask on different fora for opinions (prepare yourself for bias in advance).
You should then have a better idea of what you want from your photography and a road map for the future. Good luck with your choice !

Excellent post from Unlocker that I totally agree with. Can't wait to see what new features A4 has.
Aperture used to be playing catch up (A1 vs LR1, A2 vs LR2) but IMO as an ex-LR3 user A3 surpassed it. By the way, Bibble Pro 5 is worth a look. It has the look and feel of LR but is lightening fast, (opening, loading, effects, everything) - something both LR and A could learn from it.

Glyn is absolutely right ... if you have Lens Correction (menu : Camera - page 1 - Lens Distortion) turned on (either Distortion or CA or both) then it will slow down the processing immensely. Switch it off and do it in PP if absolutely necessary !

Remarkable it probably accurate, but it still doesn't mean it's worth the price when there's so much other Zeiss glass that is also remarkable .... without costing an insane amount.

Most people agree that the Noctilux f0.95 is soft wide open and that by the time it sharpens up you might as well have bought a 35/1.4.Chris, I've seen a lot of pictures recently with the Zeiss 50mm f0.95 Noctilux on the Leica M9 and I've been really knocked out by them. On the subject of Lightroom, can someone please clarify something for me please?
I am using a trial version of Lightroom 3 and am a bit puzzled by what it can what it can't do. From what I can see, it catalogues all my photos and lets me do a fair bit of editing but not as much as Photoshop Elements. In Lightroom I don't have access to the add on programs like Topaz that I have in PSE.
Is this a fair assessment or am I missing something.
