Light aircraft, even though some of them are very old, are maintained to very high standards.
They also have the distinct advantage that in the very rare cases where an engine does fail, you can land in a field. Pilots are all trained to fly engine-off approaches and landings, and the sensible ones practise such techniques. Try losing all power in a commercial jet (admittedly rare!) and unless your pilot happens to be Chesley Sullenberger, you're pretty much done for.

Just back from a day out at Llanerchaeron (pronounced Clan-a-clair-on) West Wales. We had a great time the weather was dull which has not given the best light and I seem to have blown most skies today. Never mind I kept the Pentax 10-17mm fish eye on my K5 and went to play. I am really loving this lens at the moment. It was not very busy at all today so I was able to just await a few seconds on some pictures for folks to wonder off and have no one in shot at all.
Home was lived in and designed by John Nash (designer of Brighton pavilion) he like to use symmetry in his designs which was easy to convey in some of my shots.

I really enjoy the DOF f22 for this shot the cane was nearly touching the lens feels like it is going to poke you in the eye!

Later on we stopped off at Aberaeron old beautiful port with pastel pained houses, the famous Harbourmasters Hotel does a lovely lunch!

We came out from lunch and the light had faded to a moody grey second before the heavens opened

I dont agree with any one! I loaded my MX with a 36 pic roll of film a few months ago and had a day out with a 35mm and 135mm prime.
I avoided taking some possible shots because I was thinking I only had one roll of film so better save it for a better shot later, then at the end of the day having taking only 10 pictures! I wanted to fire the rest off but didn't see an opportunity I liked.
Now the film is still sitting in the MX 1/3used and as I couldn't view them when I got home, I now cant be bothered to have it developed.
