just rung insurers for advice, and they have started a claim so all is not lost. Do i replace it with the same or do I go for 18-135 WR?

Question, if you crop a picture what program do you use and do you maintain the aspect ratio, or just crop to what looks good?

I have had a few minutes to play so I have adjusted some colours and cropped the above pictures as suggested.

C&C please

Just picked up my K5 and the strap caught around the corner of the table and pulled it out of my hand as I walked away. The camera hit the hard floor lens first.
Camera seems fine but the DA 16-45 is hurting. It will not focus now as the focusing ring is solid and the zoom ring only turns half way.

Think its an insurance claim, never ever dropped my previous camera in 30 years gutted.

Yes it is typically set to multi segment metering and usually I am in AV mode, as I am trying to learn to concentrate on DoF until it becomes natural.
I shall have to check the histogram in camera while shooting from now on until I get more experience.

Thank you indeed for your helpful post.

I have just checked some of the other pictures your absolutely right the histogram shows them all to be dark, I will be checking this more as I take the pictures in future, I have just adjusted some of the flower pictures and they really lift off the page after.

Thank you, The difference in her eyes after being brightened changes the whole picture. I need to look at this, and see what I can improve. Why would the K5 underexpose most of my pictures? they where all taken inside the large greenhouse which i though was good light.
