Dave, in my opinion, the difference between K20 and K200 is very noticeable. I own a K200 and borrowed my friends K20 for a wedding shot a couple of weeks a go, and the K20 really feels like a whole lot more of a camera...

If you really need a light-weight smaller body with good IQ, good ergonomics and weather-proofing, the K200 is a good deal, and you can get them for around 240 GBP second-hand. Plus, you can insert those energizer lithium batteries in it, so you really save on weight.

However, if you decide to take your K20 along the trip, finding a propper backpack shouldn't be a big problem. Or you can try out some of kata or lowepro waistbags? Ideal solution for a body + kit combo. That is, if you aren't annoyed with carrying your camera around the waist.

cheers, Luka

the best one was the noise reduction part. It clearly showed that the K7 image had much more noise, than the one from 550D, so I took a look at exif data of the photos, as K7 produced a very underexposed photo. Both images presented the same scene, with cameras and lens set to ISO 3200 and f/16, but canon's image had the shutter speed of 1/800 s and K7's had a 1/2000 s, and exposure metering was set differently too...

Well, who on earth would think that underexposing a shot at ISO 3200 could cause some noise?!?

edit: It was very correct from ePHOZOzine indeed that they pulled the article.

All of my lenses are covered with protection filters for regular daily use. In addition, I have a couple of polarisers and an ND8 with step-up rings (or is it step-down? I never know which is which... Bigger filter on smaller lens), to get that creamy water in bright day and a portrait with shallow DOF.

Just thought I'd share a sample portrait done with samyang 85/1.4 @f1.4 while I had it on a test;

well, 20.000 frames hardly got your camera warmed up. The shutter is supposed to last at least 100.000 actuations. At least get a quote from the service, to see if it's worth repairing.

Hello everyone! I recently bought the MZ-30 and I find it an interesting camera. However, I cannot figure out how to use older M lenses on it? Is it even possible? It is simly not possible to adjust the exposure time... Do any of you have an answer to my problem?

thanks, Luka

I have the Vivitar version of Kiron's 28/2. It's a lovely piece of glass and I am very fond of using it.
The M50/1,7 is much appreciated so one really can't go wrong with using it.
Don't know much about tamrons, so can't really comment on that part.

Just remember, as edumad pointed out, to change your settings in custom menu for aperture ring to "permitted".

Cheers, Luka

I own a sigma 10-20/4-5,6. I bought it used (8 months) with marumi polarising filter fitted for 350€. At that price it really was a no brainer. Ofcourse I considered the DA 12-24 but it is a bit off my student budget. Since I have my sigma, I really don't think about replacing it. It is a good lens.
