Recieved the FA28 lens today.
All well packed, lens in perfect/mint condition. I must say, EricR is very reliable and always swiftly responds to any question asked.

Eric, pleasure doing business with you. Kind regards from Slovenia,

Luka

The DAL 35/2.4 is a superb performer. Even with the all plastic body, its build quality is good. If I am honest, I don't even mind the plastic body, because this lens is a real weight saver on trips.

Malvern_man, I have used the sigma 120-400 at an autocross race last year. The lens is good in IQ and given the reach, it is not that clumsy to carry about. The only down side I remember was a relatively slow AF speed with my K200d... I really wonder how it would perform on SAFOX IV+?! I think it would be fast.

Cheers, Luka

How about a 10-400mm.
F2.8 ?
no f/1.4

And a wheelbarrow to carry it
a good compromise between both would be 10-400/1,4-2,8

There are new "eneloop" type batteries available from sanyo. The XX or double X (not really sure). These are the same type of "low self-discharge rate" cells as eneloops, only they have larger capacity of 2500 mAh.

Eneloops proved to be very reliable cells with my flashguns and K200, so in my opinion, these are worth trying.

Quite happy to do that as long as the forwarding postage is covered as well.
That is really nice of you. Don't know many people that would be willing to do such a favor to a person they have never met. Anyways, I'll keep on looking for a while... There's got to be a seller somewhere on ebay that's just waiting to ship to Slovenia Maybe, if i don't find anything in moderate time, we can work something out?

Best regards, Luka

PS PU Forum is really a nice place on the web. Lots of friendly pentaxians and tons of useful information!

PPS Dr. Mhuni, congratulations!

Thank you for all the comments and suggestions. Unfortunately, none of these ebay sellers are willing to ship to Slovenia... I guess our country fell of the EU map

Ok Mike, thanks for the feedback! So, the build quality is not on the same level. Maybe I'll wait a little longer and buy the original one. After all, the ergonomics are quite good on the K-5 even without the grip.

Hello everyone!
Yesterday, I became a proud owner of K-5. My trustworthy K200 really earned itself to be replaced, so I reached out and got one A lot of fond memories with my K200, so I'll keep it as second in command.
As my hands are rather big, I am considering a battery grip for the K-5, but I find the Pentax one rather pricey. Does anyone here have any experience or recommendations for an aftermarket one? Thanks for the help!

Cheers and good light to all,

Luka
