Hi guys,

I have for sale a genuine Ricoh DB-65 battery for the Ricoh GR.

Unboxed but as new, used literally a couple of times.

These are currently £45 in SRS, looking for £30 delivered.

I think the original Q holds a bit more charm, I had one for a while and it was a lovely tactile bit of kit. Image quality not the best, but for small prints or web viewing it was fine, plus it was small enough to always have with you, and the user-friendliness made you want to shoot.

It's a curious choice changing the sensor size, it will have implications for Q and Q10 owners when it comes to new lenses (as someone suggested wide-angle is now likely to be geared towards the new sensor, so not so wide on the originals), and it's not like the change in sensor size is going to give a huge upgrade in image quality.

Good to see they are continuing with it though. Image quality aside, I think the Q gets far more right than the K-01 did.

Am I understanding it correctly that detailed instruction is needed for the removal of an SD card from a camera?

Press gently back in to the camera and the spring mechanism will return it out. Simple.

I've never used an EVF (Pentax don't make one and it's really off
topic on this forum) but I'd be very surprised if the electronics
could cope with say and f/1.2 lens and a whitish subject without
stopping down the lens. Hopefully Pentax will never make one
and I'll never need to know.

Edit: Possibly the Sony EVF does not close the aperture,
which must restrict the range to that of the sensor.
Don't look at the Sun.

The K-5 LV stops down in 2 stop steps... see here ....

so what you mean is the EVF doesn't really use a different aperture but might need to stop down to avoid blowing the highlights on the sensor.

Pentax does have an EVF. It's called Live view and as youv'e noted on Rice High's blog it does indeed stop down to avopid blowing the sensor. :
Funny how often people forget this!

For sale I have an excellent Ricoh GV-1 viewfinder, perfect companion for the excellent Pentax Ricoh GR.

Big, bright optical viewfinder clips to the hotshoe and offers both 28mm and 21 mm framing lines (latter for use with wide-angle converter).

Excellent condition comes in original pouch.

These are currently selling for £149 at SRS, I'm looking for £100 delivered.

I was gutted when I saw the title of this thread. Having seen the picture I'm happier than ever with my bog-standard edition GR!
