I am looking for offers or someone to give me an idea on what price I should ask, as a quick look on eBay and the prices are all over the place.

It does look in great condition, if I didn't already have two I'd be interested myself. If it was mine I wouldn't let it go for less than £100 (lens is £25-30 on it's own).

Ebay BINs seem to currently be roughly £75-100 body only with the odd exception. This sounds about right to me for a good condition (cosmetic & working) example.
Can't help thinking those figures are perhaps a trifle optimistic.

An f/1.7 might fetch £25-30, maybe, on a good day, but the f/2 goes for about a tenner. If it sells.

Typically, MX body auctions reach £40-50 odd. The only on I saw get bid to the amount talked about had just been CLA'd. And came with the receipt and warranty.

There are always a few BINs with much more opportunistic prices, it's true, but do they sell? One dealer in particular always has a few 'Student' MXs at 2-3 times the going rate. I suppose he must get lucky and sell one occasionally or he wasting the listing fees. So you never know!

Thanks all.. Sold to Steve Coe, who was happy to meet and inspect, and pay cash.

I got my asking price, which was more than 50% what I paid
Happy is probably an understatement to be honest

You originally paid £450 for a Silver K-5, 18-135mm, DA 21mm and FA 43mm?
Think you either got the bargain of the century or a bit muddled there

£450? OP was asking £900, so if that was 50% of what he originally paid it makes that figure £1800.

And as long as they don't check their delivery invoice

I've also been notified that stock to fulfil my order is not expected until the third week of May. Will see if they deliver then, or cancel beforehand!

Sorry to repeat what you already said, Eastridge. There was a delay between my opening the page and posting, so I hadn't read your comment. Makes mine a little superfluous!

I was in the shop buying a filter last week. Looks a bit disorganised but you can't argue with the prices.

Be aware though that their stock is grey imported. It's not from the UK distributor. Take 'UK Soured' to mean that they were in the UK when they sourced the item, not that the item was. So you won't have Pentax UK to go to in the event of a warranty claim. Your only recourse would be to go back to Microglobe, and if they stop trading then tough.

That said, it's a screw drive focus prime not an SDM zoom. I imagine there's not too much to go wrong.

I've ordered one. I've been after one for a while, and it's the best price I've seen by some margin. Thanks for the tip-off, Renster.

Looks in top condition and a healthy saving on new.

I've no need for a 150-500 but am tempted nevertheless...

Please, some-one buy this before I succumb!

Oh I'm pretty sure I saw a 10d yesterday which I thought was a good deal I should have got it then!
SRS had nine K10Ds at £119 each when I visited the week before last. They were on ebay too at that same BIN price with 12mths warranty, but when I look now I can't see them.

I did think it was an exceptionally good price. Perhaps they all sold, or the early ones went very quickly and the remainder were re-priced.

Sorry to have give false you hopes earlier.

Maybe it's worth giving them a quick call just to double check they haven't any left. Whilst the actual cameras they sell might be no better or worse than one bought here, they're very good about refunding if theirs subsequently develop problems within warranty.
