Thanks JR, yes, I wanted to know how much better it is. We all know that primes are 'better' than zooms but what I was getting at was how much 'better' it is as I can set the 16-45mm to 35mm so I have that focal length already. The question I was looking for Stefan is weather anyone has compared the DAL 35mm to a 16-45mm that's set at 35mm for a comparison

The DAL will most likely be better in every aspect but not by miles and the DA16-45 already preform very good, i doubt you will see a real difference unless you zoom in 100%
But still my earlier comment stand though, you will use a zoom for different things as you would a prime.
I doubt you will be sitting at home contemplating if you should use the DAL35 or the DA16-45 today.
Both my primes and zoom lenses overlap and i never have to think hard which to take, if in doubt i'll always take the zoom because i've more reach that way.
If i know the DA40 or DFA100 would be suitable i'll take those for the extra quality.

To then 'hide' this at the back of the magazine, placing the onus back on the subscriber, is shoddy and underhand.
There will be a database with the names and addresses of subscribers and their membership expiry date. So it isn't that hard to work out who and how much to refund.
I suppose that they hope it'll be too much bother for people to chase them up. I'm annoyed now.

Stefan, when I read this I thought that you had slipped a little joke in, but clearly (as I have now found out) I missed out on a well-known 70's film.
BTW, 'Batman the Movie' - is that the Adam West version? Very funny film.

It's a great pity that the magazine had to close.
I don't believe that it's possible to display information to the same quality on a screen as in print (even with a calibrated monitor I find that I create different print and web versions of my photographs), and, as for reading a magazine, I certainly can't use my computer in the loo, or an iPad at the beach, or leave either in my car... Web based magazines simply don't compare to their printed cousins.
