The context aware spot healer is great. A lot of our surf shots were spoilt by having another watersports user in the shot. PSP XI wasn't really up to re-creating the waves / sea water after removal but this is much easier and better.

Can anyone out there who has gone from PSP to Elements give us any top tips on 'translating' between the two?
Or the best sources of online help?
Has anyone not got on with Elements and gone back to PSP? I was wondering about downloading the 30 day trial of Elements and making sure we got on with it before opening the package.
We have stuck with JPEG rather than RAW to date so comments focussed on that at present. But may explore RAW in future if Elements has a nice simple (guided?) way to start us off.
Thanks

you did well selling it last week. Last week that was a good price for both parties as a new one at srs cost £379.
Yesterday a new one cost £329 at srs so once those prices get known surely no-one will pay £300 for a second hand one.
If we work on the fact that you got srs price less c.£80. That would make the new rate second hand £329 less the same amount = £250.
So in a week the 'logical' second hand price has fallen halfway towards my target of £200.
Of course, the second hand market on -ebay will lag behind new pricing etc. and new prices could go back up with currency fluctuations etc.
In any case - based on what has happened this week I think you timed your sale perfectly.

So well done to people who have sold their k-x's for almost as much over the last couple of months!
On the srs used pages I am seeing D-ist stuff which I guess people are swapping for K-r's but no sign of a k-x yet.
Now, e-bay prices seem far too high compared to new but presume they will fall once people realise they can buy new for not much more.
I only need the body so am hopeful that a second hand one will fall into my price range sometime in the next year now.

As Stephan says the technology is evolving and they are already working on systems that don't need glasses. Expensive right now but surely the way forward.
As with any new AV tech - from VHS vs Betmax onwards the 'sensible' thing to do is wait until it's settled and the prices are no longer 'premuim'. And of course we are all sensible aren't we

So, the likelihood is these shots were designed or chosen for a specific purpose - to be re-produced in media inc newsprint (hardly requiring great technical accuracy) and give the impression of a happy couple to the mass population.
On that basis I think they suceed - on first impreession they are exactly what Mr & Mrs Average would want of themselves / their son or daughter in similar circumstances.
Of course most people here are looking at it differently - like a bunch of classical music fan's commenting on the technical merits of a a Girls Aloud single. Not wrong just I would dare to suggest missing the point.
(That's the first contreversal thing I have ever posted on here!)
