All I want for Christmas is.........

Hi all,
I thought this may be a nice thread fitting in to the seasons time. Anything photo (Pentax) related goes (i.e. Studio Flash, Light Box, Software, Second Camera Body (Pentax only please) Lenses, I guess you get my drift by now) but to keep it a bit realistic the maximum is set to £500 or very close to it (however, you can combine items up to this value).
Please state if you want it NEW or SECOND HAND (be realistic, a K-5 Second Hand for £500 is NOT realistic. Sorry) and if you will get it for Christmas or when would you expect to get it within 2010/2011 or maybe you would be only interested to try something out because you may think it could be of use to you.

For me:
A Sigma 150-500mm SECOND HAND! Would not be able to have the funds right now but April looks realistic to me.

Anyone else would like to put their wish to Santa in here?
Kind regards
SmutjeUK

It's nice to be nice!

Pentax K-5 with D-GB4 Grip, to many lenses to mention by now (serious LBA by now), TC's, Lowepro Slingshot 300 AW, Manfrotto 028 & Redsnapper RS-283 with various Heads plus various Camera Clamps (I collect them). Pentax AF 360FGZ, Pentax AF 240FT, several Metz 45 CT-1 & 5 with stands and 'Blow Up' Soft Boxes, Flash Triggers, and various Macro gear.

A rather modest photography related Christmas present for me this year.

A new Pentax IR remote. Turned the whole house over last night looking for mine and cannot find the thing anywhere.

It would be incredibly nice if it turns out that SmutjeUK is a philanthropic multi-billionaire with an interest in Pentax, and is about to send all the items on the list that follows! Alas, most probably isn't...

I think I would quite like a brand new, unused Pentax LX, all boxed up and forgotten on some dealer's shelf, and suddenly on offer for a knock-down price. There will be one somewhere!
Best regards, John

I am still looking for a wife with that kind of money. Help me find one and I could be persuaded!

A Black FA 77 Ltd for me, as close to new and mint as possible,it has been on my wish list for quite sometime, but I would need to sell or trade something else to fund it.

Actually, there is a camera dealer in Montréal who had two brand new boxed LX last spring. If you're serious, I could look if they still have them, and let you know how much he wants to sell them for.

The DA15mm, which I'd have to import from the US to get it under £500.

All I want for Christmas is my K-5 back. Since it still hasn't arrived in Watford there is no chance of that .

Not a single piece of photographic gear on my wish list this Christmas.

I have only just been notified of the delivery to a UK address of some parcels that were posted within the UK two weeks ago. So there are prolonged delays. These are likely to get worse as snow is forecast to arrive from Thursday so the country will grind to a halt again.

Off topic:

Ian - to post photos in the your photos section read the following sticky:
https://www.pentaxuser.com/forum/topic/how-to-post-images-6624

To post photos in the gallery go to the gallery and follow the instructions there.

I have already sweated over my K-5 and am sweating a whole lot more since I have had to send it back.

STill off topic (sorry! :blush I could believe the delay was due to the weather if SRS were in Glasgow or Edinburgh (dream on you Scots :wink but Watford didn't have snow - and nor did Heathrow where the parcels arrive.
I know it arrived in the UK on Saturday but then it went to Royal Mail and the trail goes dead. All because of that stupid woman at the post office, and me not having my brain in gear.

Well my item was sent from Swindon to London and arrived long after the snow melted, so I'm sure it will be OK. It's not just the snow it's the Christmas rush too and the general incompetence of RM.

I've been waiting for an important package for nine days (a month's supply of food for the guide dog) the supplier can only tell me that the courier is experiencing a six day delay and we should have it within the next three.

I ordered something yesterday and didn't need next day delivery so opted for 3-4 days; it arrived this morning, thank you Nespresso and Fedex.

We have had hardly anything from RM.
