Has anyone ever purchased one of these timers from ebay?

and ive just done the maths cos its 5 frames for each hdr shot its more like 3750 frames!!!!! ouch !!!

just been looking at the web and some are saying the k10 has only got a shutter life of 50,000 clicks - is this true ?

hi dan , with hdr software if i manually do 5 frames then it will batch process the rest

Thanks don , i wonder if the timer remote code as posted by hefty1 from ebay would allow auto bracketing to operate , i do this now with my cabled remote for my hdr stuff.
If it could then i reckon you could create hdr time lapse.

interesting - so if i was to buy one of these and set it to take shots at regular intervals and had my k10 connected via the remote assistant and the shots were saved to my laptops hard drive in theory if i got the time gap between each frame could i use a software app to stich them together to create a moving image? ive seen a sight that mentions this theory and also about sampling the frames to hd and watching back at hyperspeed - unfortunately it didnt explain how!

Right i think ive made up my mind!

After reading the advice given here and a little from the web ive decided to go for the studio kit from jessops.

Reason being that jessops are letting me have them at trade price which is a fair saving on the £270 list price.
I would like the 540's but cant justify the cost along with my current amateur status rather than buying the best straight away id like to learn about lighting maybe through trial and error and when i feel compitent make the purchase, and if bought lower spec versions id always be thinking what if.
When i do upgrade i can use the stands & brackets supplied in the kit (they might not be the best i know).

Id also like advice please on this sigma flash ive been offered it new for £25 it is not a pentax fit unit but my intention is to use it on a stand for outside portrait shots fired by the hotshoe trigger. Looking at the specs its not going to be an exact science setting it up as the only adjustment ill get is low , medium and high and if it is completely unusable ive 30 days to return it. Its not a permanent plan just a temporary idea until i get my 540's.
