I think i know where i can get a af500ftz used for £80 i dont have the budget for elinchrom strobes right now , if i was to have the room very dark and get the subject repeat her moves and slowed her down whilst the using the strobe would that work?

Good Avice guys,

I was chatting to a new starter at work today she is a multi disciplined martial arts competitor shes very fit and i described what i was trying to do and she reckons she can pose for each and simulate the movement of a crescent kick by holding the pose and let me take each frame one at a time - sounds like it might work.

Hi Nathan,

when you say fast shooting rate , how many frames per second are you suggesting?

cheers.

How would i create this style of multi exposure, is it more Paintshop than dslr or a combined effort?
A friend is taking part in a martial arts events and i thought this might be a nice effect to create for him

it only be worth it if the effect is good!!

i intend to attempt a moving hdr timelapse from inisde a car with a hague camera mount , due to the speed of the car i will only pseudo hdr each frame then create the timelapse so should reduce the amount of frames.
Memory card shouldnt hopefully be an issue as im going to connect the camera in car to my laptop and record the shots straight to the hard drive - i already have a heavy duty 12v to 240ac converter to power both laptop and camera powersupply.

Fingers crossed there will be something worthwhile at the end of it , alternatively ill just shoot single frames (non hdr) at night with a delayed exposure going through a tunnel hopefully this will create some nice light trails and slight burring of the tunnel walls - i guess i wont know until i try.

I wont probably do anything until next pay cheque as i need the camera power supply and car mount but anything i do create i will definitely post here.

cheers!
