guys!
its a repair for accidental damge plan not a warranty as such!
thats the bit im paying for.
Does the cover start from the day you bought the insurance cover, or after the first 12 months warranty?
yes it covers me from the day i bought it then runs for 3 years in total.

covers the cost of repair caused by accidental damage
replacement with the same current model if it cant be fixed
general breakdowns outside the manufacturers warranty period

Your camera has 2 years warranty against manufacturing faults or defects. That's European law.
Why do manufacturers still try to pull the wool over the eyes of the british public by stating 12 months warranty when they know darned well they have to give 24 months? Just because they can?

I think thats a very fair price considering it covers against accidental damage. If you look at my thread about Jacobs I mentioned the tv I bought .. I'm prety sure that was with domestic general.

Im happy to say im now the proud owner of a K10D bought from jacobs website, my camera came with a 12 month warranty, the extended warranty card that came with it says i can extend it for 3 years @ a total cost of £54.99 it covers accidental damage , repair costs and replacement with a similar priced product if it cant be repaired which sounds reasonable and is provided by domestic general - has anyone taken the cover out or have any idea advice to give on this subject ?
Some may say these warrantys are a rip off but i dont mind as it works out to £18.33 per year or 0.05 per day ! i just want cover.
Many Thanks.

When i called their helpline to find out when it would be delivered the staff were very polite and spot on with their information.
I also popped into my local jacobs in New Oxford Street , London to buy a filter and some other bits for my new camera the staff in there were also very good and advised me if i have any problems with the web purchase they can be dealt with in store rather than hanging on the phone to the - great!
In contrast i popped into jessops and enquired about some pentax bits and the sales advisor told me not to waste my money buying a pentax as they were inferior - after fimrly telling him id just bought one i then ripped into him making him look like an idiot in front of his colleagues and customers i then left.
Additionally i also phoned jessops @ bluewater and the air headed female that answered just didnt seem as if she could be bothered with my queries
and left me feeling that i never want to buy from them in the future.
"Hope this helps!!"

im having problems with "AEB" on my new K10D
I have set the aeb frames to 5 and exposure to +2 ev and put the camera into aperture priority with a 2 second shutter delay but the camera refuses to take continuous 5 shots as per the manual.
I have upgraded the firmware to the latest version, reset the camera, tried continuous shooting mode , various manual modes, made sure all the other settings are default , turned cam shake mode on & off , changed the metering and focus modes , changed from 5 frames to 3 frames and decreased the AEB ev levels down one at a time but i just cant get it shoot 3 or 5 frames with one press of the shutter release button. Does anyone know what im doing wrong?!
