For my K20 the Pentax battery proved far superior to the Innov8, which wouldn't hold a charge after a year or so. For my Q the Ansmann battery proved far superior to the Pentax battery which no longer holds a charge.

Nobody else makes a 43mm, a 31mm or 77mm prime quite like Pentax.

Thanks for the comments. Gwyn, the structure is now on its last legs, recent storms have ripped out that gap you see. So it might not be there when I get back there for good. I was desperate for one last chance and was lucky with the light and tides. I missed out on the very low tides by a few days but I can't complain, some very early starts and many miles walked were worth it.

I must admit I am tempted by the Nikon 14-24, but have to earn the right to use such a lens first. Plus I like the compactness of Pentax, always will, and the 12-24 is a very fine lens indeed, subject to some yucky chromatic aberrations which I can largely deal with now. I do want full frame but I shall wait for a Pentax and that gives me some more time to give the K5 plenty more outings, I figure a camera should really give five years service. Can't wait though to get back to the landscapes and seascapes of the South East, which is my comfort zone.

Looking at the bits dangling off it won't survive many more rough seas. I've just noticed the wonky horizon of the first. I think I'll shoot myself.

Interesting, thanks for that. I did enquire at Teamwork Photo but they told me the syetem was unsuitable for the DA15, looks very workable to me.

Excellent, in particular the last. They would easily stand out from the crowd, no doubt.

I think one person on the US forum bought one, that's the only one I've heard about. I like the idea of a good pinhole lens but f9 means high iso, very high iso for lower light street where I believe it would be at it's most effective and that's an issue. It's not about IQ obviously but the noise goes way beyond pleasant film like grain.

The sky doesn't look blown to me. The background looks hazy and therefore rather flat butI think the sky is a good one to work with. I'd take the highlights down only a fraction then increase the black levels in the sky to boost the contrast. I'd lose the muddy slice at the bottom. The composition doesn't really flow for me as the Landie and the tracks seem entirely disconnected and therefore competing rather than complementary elements.

The poses and expressions are all good. The lighting looks good on the subjects. The backgrounds look too amateurish with the creases and greyish tones in parts.
