I read somewhere that HD versions were to be made. If so then that augers well for the ff.

Blimey. I am a manual focus fan and it is a lovely lens. But I just don't use it. The 100macro, the 50-135 are the ones usually called upon to do a job. I think I'd better hang on to it until prices go back up.

Reasonable I would say is average buying price. $200 sounds a reasonable asking to me. I'd sell mine for that.

What is a reasonable amount for the K135/2.5 ?

I think it's the end of the world in the Welsh calendar.

We often hear the argument that full frame doesn't give you much over the K3. Fair argument I think. By the same token does the 645D give you that much over the Nikon D800 (sorry would like to quote a Pentax model, obviously can't)? Does the later generation sensor narrow the gap significantly or is the substantial cost difference still justified?

No. This is for too niche a market, largely videographers I suspect. There will be an expectation of at least 24mp for a general purpose ff model.

Finally something that wasn't a tit appeared at the end of my DA*300, which was nice. This is a black redstart, according to the RSPB there are very few in the UK; 19-44 breeding pairs. So it's nice to show something a little different. Trouble is I am mow enjoying this bird photography lark and the Sigma 500mm has crossed my mind. Halos are optional.
