Hi Jon, welcome. I've not been here that long. Be afraid, be very afraid. No, just kidding. Look forward to the piccies.

The first one's great, I'd straighten up a bit, but I really like it.

The second one is fine, but I wonder if there is more potential in the structure above the tube sign - do you have any different views?

The third one - straighten too and personally I'd like the bus larger in the scene.

The compositions don't do it for me. In the second the fence post competes with the tower blocks. The first has more potential. But there is a great look to the photos and I look forward to seeing some more.

Wonderful rich colours. I like the tiny violet flowers. My pick would be a pristine version of the first. Unusual, it has a coral reefiness about it.

I agree about the semantics. A very clever, impressive set with some great compositions. Two questions:

Are the two pairs of pigeons as shot?

What am I missing about the three friends?

Thanks. Being colour blind isn't always a great help and it wouldn't be the first time I've got it wrong. I am moving more towards black and white

I'm under no illusion about the PPG, it's just a game really. I'm surprised about quite a few that have got in and I'm aware of some faults and areas where I can improve. But it's still a good game.

Well done Don - you gave the judge an easy decision. Now about those eyes?

I really enjoyed all the images in this competition, great variety.

And thanks Doug for the insight, eloquence and bonhomie.
