I just wouldn't trust anything that cheap. I can imagine the head wobbling around, etc. I think it would be better to spend the same on something secondhand. I got a couple of very good old tripods from ebay. One was a Kenlock and the other a 'Cherry Dash', both very well made and stable. One was £2.70, the other 99p.

I would buy a good example for £70.

Which version is it? Does it come with an adapter? If not PK/A adapter, add £50.

I have the 52BB version 1:2 macro. It has an extension tube for 1:1 but I find it fiddly and reserve the lens for larger subjects. I think it is a brilliant lens. Can post sample shots if you wish.

I'm not tempted to click on those links. Some impressive randomness of expression though.

Loads but here's a few.

Coen Brothers films (Roger Deakins).

The two films of recent years whose cinematography stands out for me are

The Assassination Of Jesses James By The Coward Robert Ford and Control.

My top three all time best pieces of cinematography are:

1. Hud
2. Seven Samurai
3. Badlands

If it is as revolutionary as it sounds I'm surprised that it's only venture capital backed (albeit with a lot of money) and has not been snapped up by one of the big players.

Low light capability, choose focal point after the event and stack from a single image. That would be really something. How easy would macro be?

Anything designated WR would be appropriate if the last week is anything to go by, in fact forget that and bring an underwater camera.

If you end up in the Limousin give me a shout.

Horses for courses really. I think some people want no holds barred critique, some want a bit of encouragement. I personally take a different approach to different sections. I will give an honest assessment as a competition judge. In Your Photos I will play it by ear, maybe with a bit of knowledge of the individual posting. In the gallery section I think there are too many uploads now (why post several similar versions of the same thing in one day? - less is more) so I only comment on the photos which really attract my attention, which are invariably the ones I like and hence a lack of critique there.

I personally welcome criticism of my own submissions as it helps me improve, so please free Nanhi to give frank appraisal of my photos and I will return the compliment when you post some. I always though appreciate someone taking the time to comment.
