Whilst not uncommon, these little critters are proverbial 'fidget-arses' so well done to you for capturing one in an interesting pose in such detail, especially around the eye
The lack of intrusive digital noise in this shot is, to me at least, quite remarkable and shows how well the K10 has stood the test of time Is the image shown a jpeg straight from the camera or an edited RAW file?
I use ISO 800 when photographing birds in low light with the K20D but generally find a degree of noise reduction is necessary if an acceptable image is to be obtained, particularly when a major crop is called for.

Most kind. Yes, they're rarely still for more than a couple of seconds. I have a family of four occasionally visiting the feeder I have set up outside my window, and if I'm lucky they play in the tree a little. It's an edited RAW file. That's about it - the noise in the original wasn't excessive, but seemed less obvious after resizing, so I didn't try to reduce it.

Looking at it again, I started to think I'd been a bit aggressive with the contrast, so I started from scratch.
This time I went for a slightly looser crop and also reduced the noise in the background. Not that the NR has made much difference at this size, though the difference was quite apparent at the original size.

Very nice indeed, ideal pose. Being picky I might be tempted to clone out the yellow bit bottom left.

Taken with the '10 yesterday, with the 55-300. It was a bit dark - I haven't done anything to reduce the 800 ISO noise. 1/180 at F8.
