Good set. I particularly like the last one. I would be tempted to clone out the bottom right corner bright stuff. Also I might be tempted to clone some of that lovely background bokeh to the left hand side.

I think the W word applies here. Snow leopard exceptional, sleeping lion even better.

I don't have any photos of football. I do however have a few snaps of a kids rugby game. Rugby football (to give its proper name) was developed from an early version of football which permitted players to handle the ball. Other modern variants of football allow players to handle the ball - Gaelic football and Aussie Rules and these are very popular sports. Rugby football's innovation was to allow a player to run with the ball. Rugby football is becoming more popular in countries such as Kazakhstan and Russia, who qualified for the last World Cup (Union code of the game). American football, which in America is simply called football was a development of rugby football. What you call football is called soccer by Americans.

I will enter the competition if you don't disqualify my photo for handball!

Some classy work there. The fox is surely a money shot, the treecreeper is exceptional.

I haven't judged for a while. I've never been influence by any comments about entries and I've never looked in on the comments threads. But it's rather difficult to avoid the comments when they are there on 'recent activity', which is how I always browse the forum.

Thanks all. Street fishing is the flickr title of that shot and that's exactly what it is, students fishing for money with a hat on the end of the line.

Comparison images, identical processing, detail pulled out of very dark areas (near black) at ISO100 with +2.5stops and bags of fill light. No noise reduction applied.

+1 to all the above. The high ISO capability is most often mentioned. For my purposes the main advantage of the lower noise sensor is the ability to pull up dark areas at low ISO whilst keeping noise minimal. I could show you a direct comparison of a very similar scene I took with the K20 and the K5 and the difference in detail retrieval is amazing.
