Something to do with emotion in football I think. I have something in mind that I can shoot for this, so we'll see what people come up with. It's certainly not an obvious one to tackle, but that's what challenges are.

I'd like to remind everyone that this is the area for discussion about this competition. The judge doesn't look here and rtermains uninfluenced therefore by anything that is written.
The actuall Gallery Competition area is for the judge only until it's all over. Then we can comment as much as we like.
It's all about the judge having a clear mind about his or her selection and comments.

I haven't judged for a while. I've never been influence by any comments about entries and I've never looked in on the comments threads. But it's rather difficult to avoid the comments when they are there on 'recent activity', which is how I always browse the forum.

I didn't even know this Forum existed for the competitions. Good reasons to have it though. So my original question was:
Does this competition have to relate to that version of Football called "Soccer" in the UK. Could it be Rugby (League or Union), Australian Rules Football, Gaelic football.... etc? The judge seems to be referring to "Soccer" - is this the case?

I've only read what the judge wrote and the judge is unlikely to pick this query up now, but the title of the competition refers to football. Given that, I'd just enter and see. Your signature indicates Australia so whatever football means in Australia would have to be the thing to go for.
Judges are not usually too proscriptive, probably more likely to be too lax in interpreting their own themes, and it's for fun not for mega-prizes, so go for it and see what happens?

In the dim distant past, this discussion area was originally set up so that members, at the start of a competition, could ask questions of the judge about what it was he / she was expecting, as well as being a general discussion area, once entries had started to come in.

I would like to clarify the theme of the competition .. I am sorry that he did not, but I just did not know that there is an active discussion .. I think that in different parts of the world the name did not mean the same thing .. but I am very surprised to hear that the only real football is Australian .. I assume that football is a game with your feet! Is not this make up the name? ... All that is played by hand-I will not be counted

and I am very sad such a small number of images! do at home football is not like football? surely no one has pictures if not the Champions League at least domestics kids chasing a ball?

Ah ArsenAl, I was joking Everyone thinks their particular game is the "real" football. Australian Rules is played with both the hands and the feet, but kicking the ball is the most important. I have no images of football of any sort, but I will enter a photo taken at a Rugby Match (they kick the ball with their feet as well) and hope it complies. It's all for the fun of it.
