Don
thank you Matt.
I will be sure to include a sketch in the final version.
when I redo the voice over, I'll make sure to detial the lighting change from short to long lighting also.

basically the setup is like a square, with the curtians on one side, the subject in the center, the camera on the side directly across from the background, and two lights in opposite corners.
one reflector below the subject, and one beside the subject. the subject is facing 45 deg towards the corner with no light. the second reflector is beside her in line with the two lights.

of course this setup will work with flash, and the lights/reflectors can be moved around a fair bit, but it is a great/easy starting point, I think.

ok, I set this up to help a noob on a video project.
But the setup works great with dslrs also (iso 400-800, f3.2-4)...
so I thought I'd share it here.
um, one thing though...
the voice over was a rush job, and I didn't mention the fact that at one point I switched from short lighting to long lighting, by turning up a lightsource beside my camera....
Eagle eyed Pentaxians won't let that slip...so I thought I'd tell ya upfront, that there is that one error, but I'll redo the voiceover before I podcast it to the masses!
It's just not finished yet, and may be down next week!

the regulars just bugger off and find another pub. If that was to happen here, as some have said they will do, it's going to seriously make my time here less worth while. And that is a bad thing.

If someone does start another forum, I can definately see why a lot of users would move over.
I hope you guys don't act like my family did when I was younger.....
If you all pack up and move away....please tell me where you're going.....*sniff*....

some people think that change is terrible.
I think it's the people, that hang here and play, chat and squabble like a family that made this site so enjoyable.
I hope that people will recognize that it was us, that matter, not a layout or color scheme, or web functions...
It's always been the fast, fun, and useful exchange of info, tips, and humor, that made this forum great!

What's going on?
Where am I?
I'm soooo confused.
This is like that time I came home from work and went into the neighbors house by mistake.
