you may need to do some reading up on "Soft Proofing" on apples website and in your help menu.:

Chris: the only mac a serious (and wealthy) gamer would look at:

Helpful hint:
the macbook costs way less than the macbook pro.
It runs photoshop every bit as fast as the pro version.
you won't get fast frame rates on a video game like quake, on a macbook, but photoshop, don't rely on fast video cards to perform edits.

if it works stick with it...for now.
later you will find you can use adobe rgb through most of your workflow, while viewing on your huey profiled monitor, and set the printers profile at the last stage before burning your disc.
but let Matt explain that, as I'm a lazy typist, and half snapped right now!

this is on place a small flash, umbrella, lightstand, and radio slave would've made the shot...
but then it wouldn't be very candid would it?

Please, try it again,(and again) till you get it right. too good an idea to give up on...ok?
read/search the threads here and get a moonshot that has good detial, and none of the noise.
then, work it!
there is no reason you can't recreate an image that looks like a movie poster for the latest "Space Odessy" movie!

Don
check your settings on your camera?
in the custom function area, under aperture set to "ok"?
if so don't chuck that lens, reverse mount it and usit for xtreme macros!

A good experiment.
now to sell the image...as a viewer, I'm not really buying into it.
It is possible to get a moon shot without al the grain/noise.
if the lightsource is to be convincing....your shadow is on the wrong side of the moon......(unless the lightsource is between the moon and the viewer......but I'm not buying that).
but I love the concept!

well Clarky, you definately need to make a slideshow of those images, to play at the next gathering.
Be sure to crank up the Doors song "People Are Strange"

I have a pentax bag that I think is a rebadged slingshot 100.
the k10 with grip and 16-45 barely fits. (the body makes doing the zipper up really snug). There's a little more room for a longer lens.
