which lens has closer focus abilities? (when shooting wide I like to get up close).
Which lens has a constant aperture? (I do own and use studio lights, and have some work that requires very high standards, so having to recalculate exposere just to zoom the lens is wasting time.)
Which lens controls distortion and flare better? (Wedding jobs have more than people in them, and then there's corporate etc where you need straight lines straight).
What about low light? (wide apertures easier to focus in low light, like receptions).
So what I'm saying is this: HOW you intend to use the lens matters MORE than how much it costs.

Both you and the other photographer have to have this cleared up.
I'd hate to get acussed of stealing somebodies elses work (ie plagerism) by another photog, and would go to the hilt in getting a public apology from the magazine if I found out they had credited me for somebody elses work.
They owe you both an apology.
The op may be on your side.
I learned earlier on, to protect my images, by not publishing them to the web, and getting everything in writing before releasing anything that doesn't have a huge watermark on the front.
even your copyright notice on the front, shows deliberate intent if they have to crop it out.
Once you get a rep for fighting for your copyrights you'll see a drop in theft attempts.
I hope everybody on this board supports you by dropping emails to the offending parties.

I think it's ok. They're trying new stuff out. I won't likely be submitting anything there though.

The solution of course is to think before you type.
Preview before you post.
And if you still manage to type something, wrong/regrettable/stupid, post a note correcting/admitting/apologising, and then move on.
Why would one need to go back (much) later and change what they wrote anyways?
