it's not that far fetched!
i got a sony hdr-sr12
it's got (rumoured to be the same cmos chip, as sony's dslr's) 10.2 mp stills, and shoots 1080/60i video. to a 120 gig hd....

stick a minolta lens mount on it and we're almost there....Sony won't do it, due to gutting several product lines, but samsung and pentax could....casio already provied it's possible....

Don
well, I got some motion blur, this time...
But since there's some interest, the next time they hook up they're gonna call me, and we're gonna set up some lights/reflectors, and shoot a little earlier or later in the day to get away from the noon sun.

why go backwards when designing a new sensor?
the old 35 film format won't fit on the new widescreen tv/monitors.

If your going to pack more pixels onto a sensor, then it would make more sense to either go square, or wider, than aps-c. (or 24x36 for that matter).

I for one hope that they save the bigger sensor for the 645 body and bring it to market, and continue with better dynamic range and hi-def video capability, hdmi output, and 30-60 frames/sec shooting, at 6-14 mp.....,raw.

stick a dual or quad core "Prime" imaging engine into the new body and a pelicile mirror please!

I have an 85mm softfocus lens. That's a bugger to focus! make sure your diopter is set right, and trust the green confirmation circle.
if yours is the "soft" version like mine, you have to remember that the images get softer towards the edges, so you cannot focus and recompose your shot. You focus on what you want sharp...then recompose, by cropping the image in post...

a quick search on these forums will yeild lots of info on adusting the diopter....

I hope you're not expecting to replicate the above shots, outside the studio....
That first girl is going to break her knuckles, if she tries to hit somebody with her hands like that..... (me I'd aim for the opponents forearm, just so I could laugh at him, as he hits himself in the face, if I saw him hold his gaurd like that).obviously a model, not an athlete. so I'd say that the photog shot that in a studio. Pays to know about your subject, if you want your audience to buy into a staged shot.

The second shot looks like a horrible cut and paste.
