Does that filter out everything but "Adult" content? Dirty minds want to know....
I think it's ok. They're trying new stuff out. I won't likely be submitting anything there though.

I'm simply surprised that somebody thought there was a need for it.
But perhaps it's a fiendish plot to entice people to visit the gallery.

If it is, then David's announcement was well hidden!
It's the same as the filter on EPZ and gives you the choice not to view nudes and glamour if you don't want to and that's really all it is.
No plots I'm afraid, although I admit I don't know that, so you could be right.

No John's right, there are no plots. When you have a gallery you will get glamour photos posted, some people do not want to view such, so this filter is available for them to hide material marked as adult from the gallery.

We have to consider everyone on the site. A youth could quite easily access this site and legally we have to provide a way to filter out this type of content.
No plots or anything, its a requirement that we must reach. We had a recent photo that was uploaded to the gallery that brought to our attention that there wasn't a way to filter out adult content to those that don't want to see it.

Good job that I kept a childish mind, otherwise I would be filtered out like all the other adults that used to frequent this forum...
I think it's good to have a place where we children can be amongst ourselves.

Ok, so as a sensitive wee flower, I can decide that I don't want to see pictures of certain types of nice looking birds and tits, and set my site options accordingly. (Thank heavens - I might otherwise have been utterly corrupted.)We have to consider everyone on the site. But if the requirement is to protect the world's yoof, isn't an option whereby the members have to censor themselves in order to achieve said protection just a little on the pointless side?

Hmmm, I would have thought that the filter should be on as a default, with the option to switch it off with a clear statement about the consequences of doing so. I have just been shocked again by the seedy Mr. Elgar! Well, with people like Elgar around, I can see why it might be necessary!
Thanks for the responses, PU team.

I think if it had been said that all adult theme images were being banned then there might have been something to complain about.
As it is, dealing with a legal requirement and putting an optional filter in seems to be eminently sensible.
It needs switching on to take effect so anybody not wanting it can do nothing and all will be well.
Not everything has to be seen as an issue....

Is this change meant to encourage "adult" submissions, or discourage them?
If this "facility" was not meant to stimulate the production of such material, why was it deemed necessary? Have all those pictures of copulating preying mantises that Clarky and his macro mates seem to be showing us nowadays got the authorities worried? Do they think: "a mantis today, a man (and woman) tomorrow"?
And if not that, then what?
What has sparked this off? Demanding minds need to know.
