I usually go incandecent/indoor/tungsten, shoot raw and only change it in aperture if needed.

I still love and use my ds2 alongside two k10's
I'd keep it.

I have read with interest the comments about the Pentax 50 & 100mm macros. I am hoping to buy a macro early next year. Certainly the comments here are very favourable for the Pentax macros. However Sigma do an equivalent. Does anyone know if the Pentax performs better to merit the difference in cost?

My subject matter would be flowers and creepy crawlies.:
My main reasons for sticking with pentax are these:

Pentax are usually very good to outstanding, in image quality.

Pentax are usually cheaper than thier canikon equivalents. (but often more expensive than third party makers).

Having several bodies and lenses, I like to know that the smc coatings will yeild similar color, contrast, image qualities if I shoot the same scene with different lenses (like weddings) I can mix and match the results, easier. It would suck if say I needed a montage of the ring exchange, the kiss, and the couple at the alter, and had three images (100mm macro, 50mm, 16-45) with different color looks to each shot...

sadly, I have some presets, in aperture that automattically apply a set of adjustments on import.
I hear what you guys are saying and shall endeaver to remove the word(s) photograph(y/er) from all future marketing materials.

Yeah, Gwyn, and a dumb one at that!

What scares the begeebers out of me are airplanes flying around the globe and getting serviced and refueled in different countries and continents.

We had a near disaster here in Canada some years back when a passenger jet was refueled in litres instead of gallons. Some heroic flying and an old abandoned runway saved many lives.
If you're talking about a 767 that landed in Gimli Mb, that is 1/2 hr from my house.

I'd go macbook, or if screensize is important, macbookpro.
ram is more important than graphics card.
my macbook with 2 gigs handles it just fine (aperture and cs2)
