Merry Christmas.
Have a great trip.

Try to avoid impersonating Santa, in bad neighbourhoods...
yelling "HO-HO-HO" in some places could get you SHOT-SHOT-SHOT!

20 frames per second is just a tad shy of 24......30-60 would be ideal
at what resolution does the burst mode work?

I hate to say this..
but having gone to school shooting a super a and ds2 side by side, (go with constant aperture zooms, so you can compensate for the 1.5x crop, and shoot the same scene on both digital and film to compare results easily)

why don't you look at larger formats?
calumut cadet 4x5, or yashica tlr?

you may find the large format camera more usable in the long run....

Traditionally, you send your k20 off to one of the veteran forum members who'll in turn loan you an older "Beginners" camera, for your own safety. The k20 may be too much to handle, at first.....
Please send your camera to "Don, P.O Box 39........."
Seriously Welcome to the forum!

But surely, once you adjusted your piece of paper once, it's useless.

Ah, but I had a thought, a piece of paper has two sides doesn't it so you could use the other side if you wanted a cooler effect.

Damn, now it really is useless for white balance. There's a job here for Don after all, we need a three sided piece of paper to resolve this.

Don . . . Don . . . never around when you really need him.
Just buy a damn notepad.

I can get both exposure and white balance off my kodak grey card.

Yeah Mac I've played around with all my filters.
Do try this:
look up custom white balance in your manual....
use a sheet of white (or even light orange colored) paper or cloth, under your incandescent lights and set a custom white balance.

now you got the effect of a filter without losing 2 stops or having another peice of glass infront of your lens.

I still use my cokin varicolor polarizers alot. but most color correction filters get used on the flash units, more than the cameras, I'm afraid.

What doesn't make sense is having to pay for something, that only gets used as a means of monitoring and controlling you. they fine you, for not obeying signs. the signs don't have to make sense. if you don't give them your money, they take away your licence.

My motorcycle can break the 100km speed limit in first gear, and has 5 more gears to go.
Why should I have to pay for a license knowing that they're just gonna take it away?
Seems to me I could...theoretically... not pay for a license, have fun on my motorcycle, till they catch me, get a few months free room and board, then upon release, use the money I saved to buy a faster motorcycle....
