No recoil. These use C02. Also not sub FAC air rifles. Very quiet and accurate at reasonably close range and not normally used like a typical sniper rifle. Heavy due to cylinder capacity.

AH! ok.
maybe try a servo controlled trigger... as well..seems to me pulling the trigger, not unlike pressing the shutter is where the operator is most like to induce a shake....

Your welcome Gary, would be interested what your results would be.
One thing though, are those gyros on your R/C Heli used on his own to stabilize it or was their output submitted to the rotors?
I believe it's the later one you see so the Gyros wouldn't have enough mass/energy to keep your camera stabilize, although I can just as easily be wrong though.
The older gyros had a pair of brass discs and were electronically coupled to the control system. I am considering inertial resistance by larger alloy discs. Looking at the site you linked too, a small system was quoted at 30lbs weight! I also suspect they use gyro stabilised gimbal mounts.

My thoughts are not for a camera but for a rifle.

think big, think heavy. or think different.. to overcome the recoil you're looking at some serious engineering and heavy gyros...

Yeah it's the same Idea Father Ted, try out and see if it works I would say

The extra weight will put the centre of gravity under the point you're holding the camera so it automatic stabilize itself.

I've seen on TV someone that was shooting photos out of his aerolight and he used a gyro that fitted under the camera. here you go link
So logical! I used to use similar gyros on my R/C helicopters before moving over to Piezo gyros. Now I now what my next project is going to be. Design starts tomorrow.

Cheers Stefan!!
go cheap...
older heavier hard drives spin balanced metal discs at 7200 rpms and all you need is to mount two on an L bracket and power 'em up... 12 volts i believe, or was it five? ah go with twelve, if it gets hot, my bad...
should get you goin with some nice gyro stabilizer effects...

Well George Orwell's 1984 was not that far out when he imagined a future society. We now are living in the most monitored society in Europe, it won't take long before books are burnt and people report neighbours for crimes against society. I have such a cheerful outlook on life

So who is "Watching the Watchmen" Father Ted?
I have a wifii connected robot built from a wheelchair and it has night vision, video capability and remote operation (sadly my programming skills suck, so it isn't fully autonomous yet...
I can patrol my yard or my house from the internet!

I wanted to arm it with a full auto paintball gun and habenaro filled paintballs, but my wife won't let me.

she thinks the dog, and his firend (apparently he's made friends with a skunk) are sufficient deterrents.

two ideas...
one:
rotate 90 deg left.

two:
on a duplicate layer in pse:
duplicate layer/filter:highpass amount 7/layermode: softlight/merge down
duplicate layer/filter gausian blur amount 40/layermode: softlight/opacity between 50 and 80 %/image: color:saturation up to taste...

let me know how that looks

I think you are confusing some of the industries confusing terms....
100% viewfinder view is not the same thing as Full Frame... Full Frame is a sensor the same size (24x36mm) as a frame of 35 mm film.
The k7 has an aps sized sensor...
you'll get the same "cropped" feild of view on the k7 as you would on the k20, only you'll have a more accurate view (in the viewfinder) of what is in that frame with the k7...

nail polish? model paints?
maybe a self portrait (cut your ear off in photoshop - it hurts less)
