K10 D Focus Mode Lever

I recently broke off the plastic focus mode lever on my K10D when removing the camera from its case. I disassembled the case as per manual in order to replace the lever. I've taken the broken switch out & am temporarily using the camera on manual focus. There was a tiny ball bearing loose in the bottom of the case. Is this part of the switch assembly?. I have purchased a broken KT 10D to rob for parts, but was just a bit worried about this ball bearing before Ireplace the switch. Has anybody any ideas? Thanks.

Thanks Bob. The "ball bearing" is so tiny it could even be a rogue blob of solder. I will dismantle the donor camera, paying very careful attention to the presence of any "ball bearings" in the vicinity of the focus mode switch. Thanks once again.

Using the donor camera,I discovered that the small ball bearing nestles between a small hole in the end of the metal lever of the switch & the camera body. It's a very crude arrangement IMHO, but it works. Using the service manual, it is quite easy to replace this switch. Firstly remove the base,(11 small screws)& then the front (6 screws), 1 of which is in the battery compartment base & 2 concealed under the rubber cover on the camera front.
