As I have just got myself an older A50mm 1.4, and that fits my older bodies as well, I think I could live with manual focus if I need a fast lens in the future.
It is in the box with all of the usual paperwork etc, absolutely pristine. The guarantee is still operative and I will be more than happy to assist the purchaser in the unlikely event of any problems.

Price £210 including RMSD in UK, less if collected from West Berks.

I suppose It all depends how much you use the batteries, how much you use the on board flash, video, screen, just leaving the camera on etc.
I had 3 batteries with my K10 and found that 2 would have been plenty, almost all of the time. Even going away on holidays I found two plenty but I always took the charger with me and usually mains was availible.
When I bought the K5 I did get a second battery to allow me to charge one whilst the other was running the camera but I haven't had a problem so far. I recently got myself a copy grip, mainly so I can use AA batteries if unable to charge the camera batteries.
AA batteries have so many more options for charging, solar, car etc. Plus the various disposable cell options. I haven't actually tried out the disposable lithium cells in it yet though, just haven't had the need to yet.(They are a bit pricey just to try it out.) When I have used them in other cameras, they have proved very much longer lived than Nickel rechargeable cells, and they don't mind the cold.

The lithium disposable AA cells would have a much longer shelf life. They would have a better capacity than alkaline or nickel rechargeable and the shelf life is much longer, seem to remember reading on a packet of them that a 10 year shelf life was claimed.
I think that is why johnha is interested in using them as backup power. He can put them in his bag and know they will be there if the rechargeable have died before charging is possible.
They also fit a host of other gadgets. Useful to take on holiday for example, when charging can be a problem.

I must admit I have both but the 50-200 gets more work on my camera. I guess others will come along and say otherwise but I find the 50-200 a lovely little lens. The small size, range seem to fit what I usually need and the fact it's a WR. I must admit I also have the DA300, when I want to see far away but I have seriously been thinking of selling the 55-300.
I have recently also got the 18-135 and found that really suites me on my mountain perambulations. WR and no need to change lens in inclement weather. Occasionally I find I would like to go beyond the 135mm but very rarely.

Thanks once again Graham for another pleasant and easy transfer of ownership. It really looks right on my MX.
Must take a photo of it.....

To be honest it was a bit of an impulse buy and I have some other things I could use the lens buying power for.
The A1.4 should cover my needs for the moment.
