Can anybody advise me as to whether the Miranda 730 TCD flashgun is compatible with my K10D.
I know this is a regularly asked sort of question, but I've found nothing relating to this specific flashgun.
I've had it for years, in fact 25 next February to be exact. It's an excellent flash, but I've not used it on my K10D which I've had for over 3 years.
I've read posts about testing the voltages between the centre contact and the side mount contact, but the only voltage I get is 1.5v and when I fire the flash it drops to 0, and when the flash is recharged it goes back to 1.5 volts.
Reading other posts about various other Miranda flashes, they are talking around 7 to 8 volts or 100s.
Help.

10,876 in 2 years and 11 months is about 10 a day, with K10D.
Most in one day was 1092, at Cosford Airshow last year - Vulcan XH558 was there so why not?
Most I ever took in a day before that was back in the '90s on 35mm with my A3. 6 rolls of 36, over 200 pics!
That was at Mildenhall Airshow, cost me over £40 for films and D&P, but worth every penny.

Hi guys,
Don't know if you are aware, but that AN-225 is actually the ONLY one ever built, originally to carry the Ruskie space shuttle.
See this link for further details;

I've never seen it, but might just take a drive over Derby way on Saturday !!!

I've got a Kodak D3700 from about 2002 - 3.3Mp - and so basic you can't even take self-timer shots, but it has got a "massive" 8Mb internal memory - enough for about 6 shots - and can take up to a 2Gb SD card as well.
I agree with Mike-P. It can't be that difficult to include that in the modern DSLRs.

I write left-handed, shoot a rifle left-handed, shoot a bow right-handed, throw right-handed, kick right-footed, play golf and cricket right-handed, but I wish someone would make a camera with the button on the left-hand side !!

You've just jogged my mind about reciprosity failure. Over the last 20 or so years, I've taken various night sky photos on 35mm (Leonid meteors, Comet Hale-Bopp etc.) which have turned out OK.
The only thing I've found with digital cameras is that the noise level appears to be the only problem with long exposures.
Yes, you have to be careful about always using a fully-charged battery, but apart from that I don't believe that you can actually damage your camera.
If it could be damaged, surely the manufacturer would issue some sort of warning to say so.
I've found this link which is quite useful;

Hope it helps.

I couldn't believe my luck !
In 1998 I exchanged my 15-year-old Chinon 50mm KA fit 1.7 for a Pentax SMC 50mm KA 1.4 in mint condition at a now-defunct camera exchange shop. The Pentax was for sale at £25 (TWENTY-FIVE POUNDS ! ! !) and I got £15 for the Chinon, so it only cost me
A TENNER !!!
I'm sure they missed a nought off the end of the £25. No wonder the shop shut down !!

What do I use my K10D for?

To take the best digital photos ever, that's what!

I love it.
