OK, so the image is nothing. But, having had to switch from a K20D to an X-5 (health reasons) I was curious to see just how good the SR really was.
The pigeon was 25 feet away, shot through double glazing and with the zoom run out a long, long way.
it was so long that I could not frame the bird in the monitor (serious L/H tremor( and had to rest one elbow on my desk and use the EVF. When I looked at the image with Photo-me, I saw that the lens was at the 35mm equivalent of 580mm.
I would never have tried such a shot with a 35mm camera, so the way that the SR on the X-5 has worked has me blown away. It gives me a lot of confidence for the future.

Well, The Fordson is a Model N and dates from the mid 1930s
The Fergusons look like TE20s from the 1950s
The Farmall was an International Harvester brand and looks like from the early 50s
The IH250 was an English made product (in the old Jowett plant - and Jowett shut down after Ford bought Briggs Motor Bodies of Dagenham.
The first job I ever did as an apprentice in 1954 was to recondition a clutch for a Model N Fordson.
(of course I was just plain Geoff in those days)

My MZ50 died on me at the weekend. This is the well-known mirror/shutter motor fault, on an otherwise almost new appearance body. If anyone wants the body for spares, it is yours for the price of postage – otherwise it is the bin in its very near future. Having sold my K20, I now have nothing left that uses AF lenses, hence:

All prices are including postage/courier
. All lenses are in excellent or as-new cosmetic and optical condition (the A button on the Sigma can slip out of position).
Pictures on request – hey, you all know what a lens looks like.

Pentax F 35-70 No caps but Hoya short metal lens-hood. £25

Card reader every time.
Plus, you can reformat the card in the camera every time (saves any potential problems there).
