Hi,
(Instead of going through people's signatures for links)If you have a website/photoblog post your url here. Include what solution you used to create it (Zenfolio, Wordpress etc) if you want.
I'll start-
http://photoblog.ie Wordpress, Monotone theme. I'm thinking of changing to Zenfolio to have a complete website with galleries and easy for people to buy pictures. Even though I'm not pushing to sell a lot or expect to, it's no problem having the option there.).
Cheers,
pa.

I'd be inclined to suggest the new 35mm f2.4 - I have seen suspicions that it's actually closer to an f2 when measured carefully. Sharp at all apertures, compact, lightweight, and cheap in Pentax prime terms. What's not to like?
Well I'll already have a 17-50mm f2.8 lens (once I get it) so the f2.4 wouldn't be that much quicker. Unless it really is closer to f2

Oh, ok.
I don't nit-pick when looking at images so it'd do for me. Kids at night time indoors.
I'll probably buy a flash but I'd imagine that if I have my camera in the cupboard in it's bag it'd be a lot quicker to just pull it out without having to put the flash on it.

Cheers,
Pa.

[quote:3496ace15f="rparmar"]You could find a Vivitar 28mm f/2 for cheap enough. But I wouldn't shoot is at f/2 except in an emergency. [quote]

Why not? Are you saying that f2.0 isn't fast?

Hi,
I sold my 50mm f1.7 to fund a Tamron 17-50 f2.8 lens.
The 50mm was too long.
Just wondering what's the cheapest I could get a similar lens. But shorter than 50mm and f2.0 or quicker?

this seems like a nice lens and if it goes for $350 it could be next on my list
Pentax 35mm f/2 AL SMC P-FA ($350 roughly)http://www.slrgear.com/reviews/showproduct.php/product/320/cat/45

I saw the Sigma 30mm f/1.4 (sounds lovely) but way too expensive.
Cheers,
Pa.

The Sigma, on paper, is better for closeip/'macro-esque' shots. But S someone said u less you have a dedicated macro lens....

Hi,
I ordered the Tamron lens yesterday. Someone just pointed out the Sigma on Ebay for a good price. It's too late to change but I'm just wondering which is considered a better lens & why?

Tamron SP AF 17-50mm f/2.8 XR Di II LD Asp
