Wow, what's not to love about these.
2,3, 4,9,10,11 and 12
Great lines in 2 that lead you backways through the image from the natural left to right that we'd normally do.
9,10 and 12 are my standouts though.
I'd love to meet up if you're ever shooting over this side of the pond, again.
Savage set. 👏👏👏

Cheers John,
I did ask in my question about when shooting manual,
It's as I thought.
I completely understand that if shooting in other modes that exp compensation would be hugely helpful.
Before I got my first k5, i had one of the canikon variants. It was never off auto
When I switched to k5 I learnt how and why to shoot in manual.
Never budged since, except when in bulb mode

Hi John, could be my early morning fuzzy head but that sounds exactly the same to me.
I left out aperture from my little example as that would alter the DOF and how the image may look.
If I set my shutter speed, my iso, and f stop,
There's no point in using exp compensation, as it would be easier and quicker for me to alter any one of them rather than adjusting the exp comp ?
As I said. While shooting in manual,
Why not adjust myself rather than let the camera choose which to adjust.
???

I have an add on question to the original post,
As I never bracket and never use exp comp, what is the difference if shooting in manual between adjusting iso and or shutter speed and using exp compensation, same thing or completely different???

Great to see you back again,
I must confess to not knowing what mount shield is, ???

No 3 pops for me, cracking image for lots of reasons, including what appears to be odd DOF, is this the result of " mount shield" whatever that is, or is that just pp.

Thanks Derek Now, here's a killer combination: your amazing bug macros with my softbox lighting from the side! Would we need both of us together to make the combination, or could either one of us bring it all together?

My moneys on you, if you can get the flash gear sorted. I tried to get a shot of a spider on a web that day. I got the softbox in real close, had it all framed nicely ..... then my big clodhoppers moved and bumped a strand of the web somewhere down near my ankles, and the spider scarpered off and hid behind a leaf! I'm afraid I have to learn more about the stealth involved. I'd better stick to flowers for now .....
Ha Ha i think you will probably get there before me, flash gear is way down on my list of things to get, 1st on my list is K1 again then samyang 135mm f2, depending on funds and when something comes up.
With your vast knowledge of flash and creative lighting, I imagine you would put me to shame if you ever really tried to do some macro shooting.
I would however love to see you do it as my creativity does not extend to my use of flash.
