A bit of a polarizing set, it really does seem to have split into an either love em or hate em thing,
I particularly like 3, 6 and 8.
I am quite enjoying these experiments, and think it definitely deserves more time to be spent on refining and honing your technique.

As has been said already, without experimentation we would never progress.
Keep up the good work.

Derek.

Nice sharp, colourful set.
I have spent a day in Dublin with a 135mm as my only lens for the day, and I found it refreshing.
I think it's a great focal length for walk about.
Makes you think about the shot more.
Good shooting sir. 👏👏👏

If noise is an issue for you, might be worth trying to get a used k1.

My guess would be that was an old fa 50mm
But I'm looking at it on my phone.

To be honest I don't think he really grasps what a good image might look like so I suggested what he should try and snap.

You'd have a good laugh if you actually saw most of the shots - he would click the shutter every few seconds when he was distracted by other things so there are a lot of shoe shots

And what it really shows me is that photography is much less about the gear and so much more about being there and enjoying the moments you capture. I'm looking forward to going out more often with him to improve his (and my own) skills.
Keep it up, encourage it while you can, without it becoming a chore. Cracking little set, and well done to the teacher too
