Bought an LX new many moons ago. Traded my ME Super for it then soon after I bought another ME Super and still have it.

LX developed the sticky issue so twice had it serviced with new seals and then following the second service I sold it for basically what it cost to service it. Dumbest thing I ever did! It had travelled extensively with me and captured so many memories. I felt a geat attachment to it.

Sinatra claimed he had few regrets - I have many!!!

We probably and understandably don't see mud in aesthetic terms, but you have a gift of making the mudane look stunning. I enjoyed looking at these, they're inspiration for the soul.

Can't argue with the quality of those photo's Jonathan. If I didn't already own a lovely Tamron 70-200, I would almost certainly have snapped this one up at the price. No lens is perfect but this is certainly a very affordable way to a fast telephoto, even if it is showing its age a bit. Some of my lovliest lenses are vintage. One just has to get used to any quirks they may have and compensate for them.

And talking of vintage lenses, has anyone come across Simon's utak Youtube channel? This video for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRJXbL6dlmU brings a whole new perspective to using vintage glass, especially Takumars. Watch it and enjoy it!

For anyone looking for a fast 70-200 mm zoom that won't bust your bank balance, Ffordes have a half decent Sigma 70-200 @ £199.00. It's the original version hence the price but it may be of interest to someone. https://www.ffordes.com/p/SH-55-036255/sigmapentax-af/70-200mm-f28-apo-ex-pentax...

They also have a 24-70 mm f2.8 @ £159.00 This too is the older version or I may have had a punt at it myself. https://www.ffordes.com/p/SH-55-036254/sigmapentax-af/24-70mm-f28-ex-dg-pentax-a...
