Long Gone Teasels

I happened to find myself in a country park early this morning, outside of London, (23/03/10). Makes a change I guess, from an urban one I usually find myself in.

Very effective, Pauly. Nice tones as well. By a strange coincidence I was photographing teasels this morning as well, but couldn't get the shot I wanted. Should have tried something bold and simple like this!

Andrew

Thanks, Andrew.

These were high dead growths, so I thought i'd get down and shoot 'em from a low perspective/ viewpoint. I found myself as I do in the city...looking up!

Excellent image, a memorable graphic shot of something quite commonplace for us country bumpkins

I really like the post as well as the composition - is it a split tone or similar process?

Thanks for looking and your comments, guys.

Yeah i-Berg, it was split-toned.

Great stuff, a good example of keep it simple and keep it bold. Keen eyed photographers like yourself Paul can turn an every day scene into something very special. This oooks good with the mono treatment, I be it was also good with a deep blue sky and the colour of the teasels.
