I like these John, they are different and all the better for it. The street lights lend a sense of atmosphere which suits this lovely old fishing village well. I have very strong connections with this place, as my ancestors hail from there and were the predominant family in the fishing (and no doubt whaling) industry. The Graveyard is full of Storms! I think the Bookshop one is my favourite.

Great set John, it looks as though you were inspired by the location.

The last two are by far the best, I have to confess I don't like the more overtly HDR ones as they don't look natural. The second from last one is the winner for me, lovely shot.

Number three stands head and shoulders above the other three for me, great composition and reflections. The colours are just a bit too saturated for my taste in the first two.

Lovely set David, I envy you greatly! Wish I could find some time to do a trip like this! I'm off to the Lakes tomorrow, but will have my other half with me, so not a photography trip. Suilven and Ardmair Bay catch my eye, I would be tempted to clone out the pole in the Suilven image?

Great set Andy, you certainly made the most of that light. 8 & 9 are my favourites.

These are superb Gareth, very skilfully done. I like that you haven't tried to include too many fireworks in a single image, which focuses attention on the ones that are there. That composite image you've posted afterwards is a real winner too. You should consider entering these in a competition.

Some gorgeous shots here, I particularly like the second waterfall one, but they are all well worth viewing.
