It's interesting what is considered "suitable" for an "advanced" photographer compared to a "beginner"
It is, I chose the K20 over the K10 as my first slr because I knew that in time i would want to upgrade. It seems to me that even if a camera is considered "advanced" it does not mean a beginer cannot use it, if only in a basic mode. When I am at a higher level of expertise I know my K20 will be able to accomodate my needs; and I will be used to it.

This is not meant to start a war; so please only respond with your views, and do not respond in answer to other posts in this thread. But I am interested in different opinions.

So Why did you choose Pentax and are you still happy with your decision? How does the Pentax equivalent compare to other brands you have experience of?

Let me say right at the start, I am now financialy commited to the Pentax system. It would not make sence for me to change, and I do not intend to.

I chose Pentax as my first SLR system last year, so I have no means of comparison with other systems. My reasions for choosing the K20 was I believed it offered the most features for the money, also the Lens prices seemed very competitive. Things have now changed however, the K20 now seems a bit expensive, but the lens prices have gone silly, and at the time i did`nt realise about the 300mm barrier, never read about that one in the reviews. TBH i think if somebody asked me now, I am not convinced I would reccomend Pentax. What do you think?

Typically for me I missed out on the recent PC world bargain.
If anybody wants to sell, or maybe trade for my DA 16-45 with a cash adjustment, please PM.

I have 4 16x12 canvas prints on my dining room wall, I am very proud of them. The company I use are here, although they are not the cheapest the uploading is easy to do, delivery is next day, and the quality is superb. For me this is much easier than DIY.
May even take a photo when I get home from work.

Seems ok to me, thing is most horizons of this nature are rarely level anyway. In fact, unless you are looking at a large expanse of water it is unusual to get a visually level horizon.

BTW this isn't my attempt to start a thread that will burst into acrimony before finally being deleted - we had enough excitement last w/e.
But you know it will.

Anyway back on topic, Before i bought Pentax I did a lot of research on the Glass available, my conclussion was that within the 10 - 300 fl range Pentax Glass was as good as the others in terms of comparitive performance, prices where very competitive. However, that was 12 months ago, am not so sure about the price comparison now.
