A couple of questions:

1.How do you look out for 'rear element separation', does it just not focus?

2. Frogfish what do you mean by 'rough zoom'?

As part of the Kendal Mountain Festival there is a series of outdoors photography courses next weeked 19th - 21st November.

It looks like an interesting weekend with Bill Birkett and Alan Hinkes amongst others leading worksshops for newbies and experts. Specialist sessions on Landscape,hill walking, climbing and mountain biking.

A local camera shop has a used pentax FA 1.4 28 - 70 AL. Has anybody used this lens, if so what do you think of it with a k20d?

What does the AL designation mean?
Is £80 a decent price?

well what a strange way to spend a day....hundreds of people posing and strange men pushing people out of the way to take photographs!. Still the pentax team showed some decorum - oggling yes but always in a gentlemanly way Perhaps next time there could be a little balance added by some of our lady members.

great got the Ferrari today and it is roaring away. Might wait with dongle until we are getting away more often.

If I want to load up software such as Kaspersky security can I use my desktop pc as the optical drive for the cd's?
